| 8:58 pm | Nearly Off To Portus! I'm so excited about Portus this weekend! I'm all packed--I think…I'm not bringing any porn, which feels weird! I am bringing a couple of surprises…including the crackiest costume ever for the Masquerade Ball! *bounces impatiently* Is it Thursday yet? In other fannish news, I've finally gotten the majority of my stories uploaded to both Skyehawke and Walking the Plank, thanks to Snarry Games amnesty. Honestly, I hadn't even uploaded my Merry Smutmas from 06 yet! *hangs head in shame* I just have a few things yet to archive, mostly co-written things, like the this dirty wrong piece of priest porn I posted with isidore13. We really should post more of that, Isi…just sayin'...And the best for last--thanks so much for bidding on me over on Live Long N Marry I'm just so…amazed at everyone's generosity and I'm looking forward to tackling whatever story the winning bidder desires! *tries to look sultry* *fails miserably* |

Live Long And Marry is a fandom auction to benefit marriage equality. Bidding begins July 1st, just after midnight Pacific time and you have about two weeks to bid. What's the cause? The auction will raise money for the fight against the California initiative, which will legally destroy existing same-sex marriages and ban any further ones. If the initiative passes, it will write discrimination into the state constitution, and annul existing marriages. How can I help? You can bid on fanfic, original fic, vids, cookies, memorabilia, critique/betas, and much more! Or you can offer your skills and services as a writer, vidder, baker, knitter, or whatever else you'd like. There's not much HP yet over there! Come on over and take a look and make a difference! |

I went to the Pittsburgh ComiCon last weekend to ogle Darth Vader, er, Dave Prowse, the still fit body builder who played him, then got stickie with the awesome joanwilder and yes, that's how it's spelled. It's a dessert--the stickie--not joanwilder--and it's made of yummy!Next fannish outing is the fabulousness that is Con.txt where I plan to hang out and be a happy, happy fangirl. Speaking of Con.txt, a good friend from another fandom is going to be there, vdiamond. V. has gone pro, writing gay slash and is celebrating the release of a short story collection! Check it out on LJ and Go V.! (Sorry, V is on LJ only!)ETA Got a care package from accioslash! Sort of consolation for not being able to go to the Niagra Falls meet-up this weekend! As I was wandering down the scrapbook aisle I thought, wouldn't it be funny if Harry kept a scrapbook about his life with Snape? Uh oh. But how much fun would that be, using Snarry fan art instead of photos? So, now I want to do it. Except I'm really not crafty and it would probably just be a lot of pictures with girly hearts around them. And I don't really want to do it--do I? *whimper* Any fan art suggestions to get me started? Not that I'm going to do it or anything. Where did I put my girly heart stickers? |

I finally got motivated and booked hotel rooms for Pittsburgh Comic Con, Con.Txt (an all-slash con near Washington, DC), Portus the HP conference in Dallas, and Terminus, the HP conference in Chicago. Does anyone know if there are Snarry meet ups planned for either of the two HP conferences? And does anyone need a room for Portus? |
