This is marvelous. It's well-constructed, with details of clothing and manner to give depth and substance to the period feel. And as much as I loved The Scarlet Pimpernell as a child, I definitely prefer The Black Asphodel now! The snarry is wonderful, sexy and hot; the misunderstandings between them adds to the tension, and of course, makes the make-up sex delicious.
