bethbethbeth has a great post here about ways to make Snarry more welcoming to newer fans coming into the ship or the fandom. I love her ideas on mentoring and having a comm for newbies to go to.

Conventions: Azkatraz! I had a great time! What? You expected a con report? I survived my panel, though next year I would really, really like someone else to suggest some Snarry panel topics!

Art The coolest thing about the con, for me, was the drabble/drawble table, not just for the great artists who drew (nearly) any request, but because it was a great place to hang out and talk to people waiting for art. I got artwork from Tripperfunster, Andreanna (who also put artwork into the Snarry meet-up that I snagged), Zephre Jin Fenghuang, Supes (no idea what her lj name is, but she was willing to draw Snarry!) and TBranch. *tips hat to all those artists*

Aaaaaannnnd, I got some lovely stuff from

swtalmnd which she very generously scanned so I can show it off, here!

Theater: Saw a local production of Hamlet, which is not my favorite play but worth it because every summer we have a Shakespeare festival at a transplanted Tudor manor.
